Breaking News – Driver Killed Following Collision in Hamilton Township

The driver of a vehicle was killed early Monday morning (October 16, 2023) in Hamilton Township following a single vehicle collision.

At approximately 2:15 a.m. emergency services responded to a single vehicle collision on Theatre Road, just south of Telephone Road in Hamilton Township.

A vehicle was travelling northbound on Theatre Road when it went off the road and struck a bridge abutment.

A 64-year-old Cobourg man was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.

A paramedic crew on their way to another call discovered the scene.

Northumberland OPP, OPP Traffic Collision Investigators, Hamilton Township Fire Department, Cobourg Fire Department and Northumberland County Paramedics attended the incident.
