Lemon-Aid for Northumberland Hills Hospital Returning to Northumberland County

In Upcoming Events

Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation is inviting the community to help turn lemons into lemonade once again this summer. Introduced last year, Lemon-Aid for NHH raised more than $6,400 in 2022. Proceeds from this summer’s program will help raise funds for specialty socks and gloves for patients receiving chemotherapy at the hospital’s Lions and Lioness Cancer and Supportive Care Clinic.

Community members are invited to sign up to host lemonade stands in support of NHH any time during the months of July and August.

“We were pleased to see so many of our community’s youngest members and their families, as well as other community members embrace the chance to get involved last summer,” says Rhonda Cunningham, NHH Foundation CEO. “It is a wonderful way for our community to come together in support of our hospital and to make a positive difference in patient care.”

Lemon-Aid is sponsored by Davis’ Your Independent Grocer in Port Hope and upon registration, participants will receive kits to help them get their stands started. There is no age restriction for
participating, and the Foundation hopes to see both the young and young-at-heart get onboard.

Those interested in hosting a stand can contact Jennifer Gilmer, NHH Foundation Communications Specialist at jgilmer@nhh.ca or 905-372-6811 ext. 3075 to sign up and coordinate a kit pick-up.

Locations of stands will be shared throughout the summer on both the Foundation’s website, www.NHHFoundation.ca, and social media channels. Funds raised through Lemon-Aid will be
totaled at the end of the summer season and a collective total will be announced.

Visit www.NHHFoundation.ca for more information on how you can register to participate and to find a list of upcoming Lemon-Aid stands to visit throughout the summer
