Finding Another Use From Trees Removed from Victoria Park

In Editor Choice, Local

Cobourg has been doing its best to use wood from trees that have been taken down recently.
Arborist with the Town of Cobourg, Rory Quigley said some of the wood from trees that have been removed over the last few years has been used in a number of benches placed along the waterfront.
A number of pieces of wood in benches in the sensory garden on the east end of Victoria Park are from Ash trees that were removed due to Emerald ash Borer.
Quigley said the town is planning in the near future on getting a “branding” iron made for the wood to let people know where the wood came from.
