Durham Regional Police Two Males are Facing Charges after Carjacking in Bowmanville

Police have arrested and charged two males who stole a vehicle at knifepoint in Bowmanville.

 

On February 23, 2023, members of the Robbery Unit commenced an investigation after a vehicle was taken during a carjacking in Bowmanville.  Police responded to the area of Bowmanville Avenue and Aspen Springs Drive after the victim reported his vehicle was stolen at knifepoint.  After an extensive investigation, police were able to identify and locate the two suspects involved.  During the arrest of one of the suspects, officers located a loaded firearm on his person.


The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.

 

Taylor EIBBITT, age 34, of No Fixed Address is facing 18 charges including Robbery with Offensive Weapon, Possession of Weapons Dangerous, Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Fail to Comply with Weapons Prohibition x4 and Breach of Probation x 4.

 

Mart PUHM, age 38, of Whitby is charged with Robbery.

 

Both parties were held for a bail hearing.
