Cobourg Police – Suspect Charged with Break and Enter, Mischief, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (No Name Released)

Woman facing charges after police were called to a break and enter in progress early Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 6:45 a.m., police were called to a residence in the area of Station Street and George Street in the Town of Cobourg in response to a reported break and enter in progress.

Police investigation revealed that an individual had gained entry to the garage and attempted to steal an ATV.

As a result, a 31-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with the following offence:

1. Break and enter contrary to Section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)

2. Mischief – Contrary to Section 430(1)(a) CCC

3. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 contrary to section 355(b) CCC

The accused was held for a bail hearing and later released on the strength of a release order with a future court date scheduled for February 8, 2023.
