Cobourg Skateboard Park Input Sought

In City Hall, Local

The Town of Cobourg announces the launch of a survey on its Engage Cobourg website to help shape the future of Cobourg’s Skateboard Park.

The initiative – a partnership between the Community Services Division and Communications Department – seeks the input of skateboarders, BMX riders, scooter riders and all other users of the facility to help guide future planning.

The Cobourg Skateboard Park (located in Donegan Park) was built in 2003. In 2016, the park was refurbished to enhance safety and extend its lifespan with such measures as the welding of edges, repainting, grinding of raised edges and replacing missing fasteners.

It is now again in need of refurbishment or replacement, and the town would like to engage skateboard park users (and all members of the public) to attain the best understanding of this community’s needs and desires in advance of future design work.

You can participate in an online survey or submit comments to an on-line forum hosted at EngageCobourg.ca – both will be available until Sept. 15.
