Experience Cobourg is pleased to announce the lineup of films planned for this summer’s ‘Movies in the Park.’

‘Movies in the Park’ gives families and friends the chance to enjoy a relaxing summer evening, free of charge, in Cobourg’s beautiful Victoria Park. Bring your popcorn, blanket or lawn chair and prepare to enjoy an exciting evening under the stars. Films are projected onto a giant inflatable outdoor movie screen that uses a powerful video projector and concert quality sound system.

“We are excited to once again host ‘Movies in the Park,’ a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to come out to our beautiful park and enjoy this free, outdoor experience,” said Councillor Adam Bureau, Coordinator of Arts, Culture and Tourism for the Town of Cobourg. “This year’s movie lineup includes action-packed comedies that will be fun for all ages.”

All movies begin at 8:30 p.m. If you are in the mood for dinner and a movie, stop by one of the waterfront food trucks, Personal Touch Catering, or Hot Diggidy Dog or make it a date night and enjoy a great meal with an even better view at the Cobourg Yacht Club by Arthurs Pub patio extension.

This year’s movie lineup includes:

Saturday, July 9 – Smallfoot

Saturday, August 20 – Playing with Fire

Saturday, September 3 – The Addams Family 2

A note to movie goers that waterfront parking is free after 8 p.m., and downtown parking is free after 6 p.m. Washrooms will be open for the duration of the films.

‘Movies in the Park’ events are subject to weather cancellations which could include lightning and any other unsafe weather conditions. Notice of cancellation will be posted on Experience Cobourg’s social media channels (Twitter and Facebook) and the Town of Cobourg’s municipal website (Cobourg.ca).
