Local Charities to Receive Funding from Kinsmen Club of Peterborough

On Monday, January 24, 2022, David Piccini, MPP for Northumberland Peterborough-South, was joined by Mayor Bill Cane, Mayor Mandy Martin, and by the Kinsmen Club of Peterborough to make an exciting announcement for Fishability, Castleton Sports Club, and the Canadian Mental Health Association.

“It’s great news that these local organizations all received funding from the Kinsmen Club of Peterborough. We have strong sense of community and its wonderful to see Kinsmen supporting these worthwhile organizations,” said MPP Piccini. “I’ve seen firsthand the impact that these three organizations have across Northumberland Peterborough-South. Whether it’s keeping our residents active with hockey or fishing; supporting those with disabilities; or, supporting people struggling with their mental health: these organizations simply make our neighborhoods healthier places to live.”

The funding breakdown is as follows:
·Canadian Mental Health Association – $20,000
·Fishability – $10,000
·Castleton Sports Club – $10,000

This funding would not be possible without the hard work of the Kinsmen Club of Peterborough and special thanks to Reed Manley, Co-Chair of Kinsmen Super TV Bingo who made this announcement possible.
