Durham Police – Whitby Man Charged with Indecent Act

A Whitby male is facing charges after allegedly performing an indecent act near the McKinney Centre in Whitby.

On Monday, March 1, 2021 at approximately 8:40 a.m., members of Central West Division responded to a call for an indecent act in the area of the McKinney Centre in Whitby. The male suspect was observed by a young female committing an indecent act while he stood outside his vehicle. A witness attempted to confront the suspect, then the male drove off at a high rate of speed through a nearby commercial parking lot. Police located him in the vehicle and he was arrested.

Ryan Walters, age 33 of Whitby is charged with Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance and Indecent Act in a Public Place. He was released on an Undertaking.
