Miraculously no one was seriously injured in a spectacular collision on Highway 401 at Port Hope on Friday, December 18, 2020.

Emergency services responded to the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, just east of Toronto Road.

A vehicle was entering the highway when it collided with a parked tractor trailer.

The passenger side of the four door vehicle was sheared off from the vehicle.

Both passenger doors were completely torn off of the vehicle.

One of the doors was still lodged onto the back of the tractor trailer.

After the initial collision the vehicle may have spun out into the highway and have been struck by a second tractor trailer.

Debris littered the two lanes of the highway that were shut down for over an hour while workers cleared up the vehicles and parts.

Miraculously the lone occupant of the vehicle suffered no injuries.

The driver of the parked transport suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital. It’s believed he was standing outside his vehicle and was hit by flying debris after the impact.

There is no word on charges.
