Pedestrian Collision – City of Kawartha Lakes

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – On Sunday April 1, 2018 at approximately 12:30pm members of the City of Kawartha Lakes emergency services, including officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment responded to a serious collision on Highway 7A in the Village of Bethany. The collision occurred between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.

A 36 year old male pedestrian from Scugog Township sustained major injuries in the collision and was subsequently transported by air ambulance to a Toronto area hospital, where he remains. The highway was closed in the area for several hours for the investigation.

The investigation is continuing.
