Care or Control While Impaired Arrest:

A 56-year-old Peterborough woman has been charged following a late February motor vehicle collision.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on February 26, 2018 police attended Erskine Avenue in response to a pick-up truck that had been driven into a building. When police arrived on scene they located the vehicle running and a female who appeared unconscious in the driver’s seat. The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment and assessment to any injuries.

Through further investigation it was determined that the accused had been under the influence of an unknown narcotic at the time of the incident. The accused was also connected to a theft incident at a Lansdowne Street West store that had also taken place the morning of February 26, 2018.

On March 21, 2018 the accused attended the police station where, as a result of the investigation, she was arrested and charged.

Leslie Patricia Swinnerton, 56, of Simons Avenue, is charged with care or control while impaired (drug) and theft under $5,000.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 12, 2018.

 

Drug Arrest:

A 32-year-old Peterborough man is facing drug charges following an early morning investigation.

On March 22, 2018 at approximately 1:50 a.m. officers on patrol in the area of Bethune and Hunter Streets stopped a cyclist for Highway Traffic Act related offences.

During the investigation it was discovered that the accused was breaching his conditions by failing to notify police of a change of address and was placed under arrest.

During a subsequent search the accused was found to be in possession of an amount of cocaine and marijuana.

As a result of the investigation Jordan Robert Dallard, 32, of no fixed address, Peterborough, was charged with the following:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance (Cocaine)
  • Possession of a schedule II substance (Marijuana under 30 grams)
  • Fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court later today (March 22).

 

Drug/Breach of Probation Arrest:

The Peterborough Police Service has arrested and charged a 24-year-old man with breaching his probation and possessing a controlled substance.

On the evening of March 21, 2018 officers on patrol in the area of Aylmer and Murray Streets saw the accused walking with another male. The two men are on probation orders to not associate or hold any communication with one another.

The accused was subsequently arrested and at the time of the arrest was found to be in possession of an amount of marijuana.

As a result of the investigation Jesse Dean Rowe, 24, of Hopkins Avenue, was charged with possession of a schedule II substance (Marijuana under 30 grams) and fail to comply with a probation order X2.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 12, 2018.
