Cobourg Police – Suspects Arrested In Stolen Vehicle

At 1910 hrs, 8 November 2018, Police were on routine patrol driving southbound on D’arcy St, Cobourg when they observed a vehicle matching the description of a stolen vehicle broadcasted earlier. A police records check confirmed the vehicle was in fact stolen and the vehicle was stopped by police. The female driver and male passenger were both arrested.
Cobourg resident Shannon Brooks age 29 is charged criminally with Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Driving While Disqualified as well as Suspend Drive under the Highway Traffic Act. Brooks was released on a Promise to Appear in Court as well as an Officer in Charge Undertaking.

Cobourg resident John Micheal Van Dusen age 36 was charged criminally with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and released from custody on a Promise to Appear in Court.
