Video – Photo Gallery – Learning About Trees And What They Give Us at CR Gummow

In Local

It was a celebration of elder trees at CR Gummow School in Cobourg on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

It was a chance for everyone to see arborists at work along with learning about trees.

Trees give us more than what most people know and Saturday was a chance to learn and have fun learning with Professor Pricklethorn (Warren Hoselton).

Hoselton was born and raised in Cobourg where he discovered his love for trees.

For decades his passion has been about teaching others, in a fun way about what trees give back to us and how to take care of them for our future.

Local artist Jenny Duda held a fence weaving art demonstration and there were a number of draws.

The event was put on by Trees Canada.
