A Port Hope man is facing charges following a police investigation into alleged voyeurism and child sexual abuse material offences.
In July 2026, the Cobourg Police Service (CPS) initiated an investigation after receiving a report involving alleged voyeurism, possession of child sexual abuse material, and making child sexual abuse material.
On July 30, 2026, members of the CPS Criminal Investigation Bureau, CPS K-9 Unit, CPS Uniform Patrol, and Port Hope Police Service Criminal Investigation Bureau executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence on Spencer Street in the Municipality of Port Hope as part of the ongoing investigation.
As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old Port Hope man was arrested and charged with:
• Voyeurism
• Making Child Sexual Abuse Material
• Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material
The accused was held in custody pending a show cause hearing. The name of the accused is withheld to protect the victim’s identity.
