Cobourg Police – Mischief Investigation at Chris Garrett Memorial Park

The Cobourg Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in connection with a mischief investigation at Chris Garrett Memorial Park in Cobourg.

On July 13, 2026, police received information that the Hero’s Flight sculpture, located in Chris Garrett Memorial Park on Birchwood Trail, had been vandalized.

Currently, the timeline of the incident is unknown. The Cobourg Police Service is working with the Town of Cobourg to have the graffiti removed while the investigation continues.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area, or who may have security camera or dash camera footage, to contact the Cobourg Police Service at 905-372-6821. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visiting www.stopcrimehere.ca. Tips provided to Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
