Cobourg Police – Woman Charged in Intimate Partner Violence

On July 14, 2026, at approximately 6:10 p.m., an officer on general patrol observed a man walking in Cobourg who appeared to have visible scratches and cuts on his body.

Through investigation, police determined the man had been assaulted by his partner inside a residence. Police also learned that property had been damaged during the incident.

As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with Assault – Spousal, Assault with a Weapon – Spousal, and Mischief – Spousal.

The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
