At their 2026 Annual General Meeting in January, Northumberland 89.7 members voted in favour of establishing a new annual honour: the Pat Bryan Volunteer of the Year Award, recognizing an individual whose dedication and service reflect Pat’s lasting legacy.
After thoughtful discussion and careful deliberation, the Awards Committee is proud to announce that the inaugural recipient of the 2026 Pat Bryan Volunteer of the Year Award is Trevor Joice.
Trevor has been part of Northumberland 89.7 since the very beginning, dedicating countless hours to the station through his technical expertise, guidance, and unwavering mentorship. He worked closely alongside Pat Bryan and has generously shared his knowledge with the many volunteers who have come through our doors over the years.
Trevor’s commitment, generosity, and passion for community radio have helped shape Northumberland 89.7 into what it is today. We couldn’t think of a more deserving inaugural recipient.
Congratulations, Trevor, on being named the first-ever recipient of the 2026 Pat Bryan Volunteer of the Year Award!
Thank you for everything you have done—and continue to do—for Northumberland 89.7 and the community we serve.
