Belleville Police – Driver Charged with Impaired (Name Released)

On February 18th at 6:42pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver in the city’s west end after a male was observed to be falling asleep while driving. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect vehicle and observed a male driver behind the wheel. Officers spoke to the male and observed signs of impairment.

As a result of police investigation, Shawn Eggiman, 45-year-old Quinte West man, was arrested and charged with Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs. He was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in April.
