Video – Photo Gallery – Deep Freeze Hits the Cobourg Area

In Local, Weather

It was a bitterly cold day throughout Ontario and Cobourg was no exception.

With temperatures at -19 Celsius, but feeling like -28 it was a bitterly cold day with the wind whipping the snow up over the roofs in downtown Cobourg.

Along the shoreline, one person’s vehicle became stuck by the marina. While he waited for CAA, a number of people stopped by to try and assist him while he waited.

Even with the deep freeze, one person decided to watch the sunset and the waves crash against the ice along the west breakwall in Cobourg.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the deepfreeze on Saturday, with another major snow storm descending on the area on Sunday.
