Video – More Holes Cut in the Fencing at Former Brookside Property

In Local

There have numerous holes cut in the fence surrounding the former Brookside property in Cobourg.

The fence was originally installed to keep people from escaping, but people are cutting the thick fencing to actually break-in to the property to steal items from the demolition company along with other items in the building including piping and wiring.

On Friday, December 5, 2025 a large hole was cut in the fencing along Cottesmore Avenue.

The fencing was so large that marks in the snow indicate that possible a wagon was used to remove items from the property.

No word on if police have been notified of the entry on Friday, or previous occasions.
