Update – First Phase of Culvert Replacement Completed – No Road Closure Required for September 12

In Local

The Town of Cobourg Public Works and Engineering Division is pleased to share that the first phase of the culvert replacement project on King Street West has been successfully completed. As a result, there will be no road closure or intermittent electrical service required tonight (September 12–13).

Public Works staff were on site from last evening through this morning to assist residents who required transportation accommodations to and from their homes. This phase of construction involved installing the northern half of the new culvert.

A second phase of work, to replace the southern half of the culvert on King Street West, will take place in the coming weeks. Another notice will be provided with details prior to the second stage of work.

There will also be a water service disruption to make a watermain connection. More information on the timing of the water disruption will be provided when available.

The Town of Cobourg thanks residents for their continued patience and understanding as we work to complete this important infrastructure project.
