In Community, Local

Port Hope resident Jeff Lees spend the afternoon relaxing in front of his home on Hope Street North collecting donations for the “One Toonie At A Time” campaign.

The campaign hopes to raise $70,000 for the expansion of healthcare services at the Port Hope Walk-In Clinic by hiring a nurse practitioner dedicated to mental health services.

“It’s been great. People have been awesome. Port Hope is a great community and a lot people from other places have stopped by.”

In approximately two hours Lees through the generosity of others raised $356.50.
