Cobourg Police – Child Transported to Toronto Hospital After Dog Bite

The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit is investigation after a child was bit by a dog.

Cobourg Police issued a brief release to Today’s Northumberland stating, “on Tuesday, October 8, (2024) officers responded to an ambulance assist call in the Town of Cobourg after a dog bit a child.

Highland Shores Children’s Aid Society and Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge, District Health Unit were notified of the incident.

The child was transported to a hospital in the GTA for treatment of their injuries.

No charges have been laid as a result of the police investigation.

HKPR District Health Unit has opened an investigation.
