Cobourg Police – Abandoning Child/Public Intoxication (No Name Released)

A 35-year-old man is facing charges after police responded to a report public intoxication.

On Sunday, August 26, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., police responded to a report of an intoxicated man at Victoria Beach who had an infant in his care.

As the result of the police investigation, a 35-year-old Cobourg man was charged with abandoning child and being intoxicated in a public place.

The accused was released on an Undertaking with conditions and a pending court date.
