Cobourg Police – Palmer Rapids Man Charged with Voyeurism (Name Released)

A 33-year-old man has been charged after police responded to a report of an indecent act.

On Friday, April 26, 2024, at approximately 1:30 pm, police received a report of an indecent act that took place at a business (Walmart) on Strathy Road in the Town of Cobourg

It was reported that an unknown male entered the women’s washroom and held his cell phone under the stall partition while live on a video call. The man fled the scene after being confronted by the woman in the stall.

Police identified the suspect as a result of the investigation. On April 27, 2024, Andrew Haughey (33) of Palmer Rapids, Ontario was arrested and charged with Voyeurism contrary to section 162(1) of the Criminal Code.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
