Port Hope Council – Walton Street Work is About to Start

In City Hall

Port Hope Mayor Olena Hankivsky took a moment at Tuesday’s council meeting to remind everyone that construction on Walton Street starts next week.

The work may go on through November, and the project – which will take place on the street that goes right through Port Hope’s downtown – will inevitably cause some degree of disruption.

Hankivsky said that they have established dedicated channels for updates.

“The project is vital to our community’s future, and your patience and your support are greatly appreciated,” she said

“Stay connected to us through our dedicated Instagram and Facebook pages (handle: Port Hope digs Walton).”

While this is going on, the mayor continued, “Please remember to support local. Keep our community thriving by supporting local businesses. Your support, especially over the next few months is going to be essential and will make the difference.”
