Video – Having Good, Clean Fun at Cobourg Beach

In Local

A group of friends from Oshawa made the trip to Cobourg on Sunday, July 19, 2026, to spend a hot summer day at Victoria Beach and enjoy the refreshing waters of Lake Ontario.

Without bothering to test the water first, the friends took a leap of faith, jumping off the east pier into the lake.

The reaction was immediate.

The water was noticeably colder than they had expected, prompting plenty of laughter and a few surprised expressions as they surfaced.

Despite the chilly shock, it didn’t take long for the group to warm up in the summer sunshine. Before long, they were back on the pier, ready to do it all over again—this time intentionally using the cool water to beat the heat.

Their repeated jumps and laughter drew smiles from people nearby, proving that sometimes the best summer memories come from simply taking the plunge.
