Belleville Police – Belleville Man Charged with Assault (Name Released)

On May 25th at 9:15 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a report of an assault at a business on Dundas Street West. It was reported that a male was sitting in his vehicle when another male approached and initiated a verbal dispute, which escalated when the suspect punched the victim. The suspect then fled on foot.

Shortly after, police received a separate call about a male in the area yelling threats. Officers reviewed surveillance footage and confirmed he was the same individual involved in the assault.

As a result of police investigation, Chad Owen, 34-year-old Belleville man, was located, arrested and charged with assault. He was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in August.
