Victoria Park Canteen Fenced Off Ahead of Accessible Washroom Renovation Project

In Local

Fencing has been installed around the former canteen building in Victoria Park as preparations get underway for a long-planned renovation project.

The work is connected to the Capital Project: Victoria Park Canteen Washroom Conversion and Renovation.

The project will transform the former canteen building with the addition of three accessible washrooms aimed at improving accessibility and amenities within the waterfront park.

Municipal officials say construction is expected to begin soon with the contractor anticipated to start work in the coming days.

The fenced-off area will remain in place throughout construction for public safety. No timeline has yet been released for completion of the renovation project.
