Video – Minor Fire at Material Recovery Facility in Grafton

Alnwick/Haldimand Township Fire Department responded to the Emterra Environmental Material Recovery Facility on Edwardson Road just north of Highway 401 on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

At approximately 6:40 p.m. crews were dispatched to the facility for reports of paper and cardboard on fire inside the building.

Crews worked through the debris which was in the middle of a bale and quickly doused the smoldering fire.
