Video – Cobourg Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire

Cobourg Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Thursday, April 30, 2026 in Cobourg’s east end.

A person driving by noticed flames coming from a steel Quonset hut at the corner of Thompson Street and Normar Road at approximately 1:40 a.m.

When fire crews arrived a short time later, flames were visible inside the structure used for storage.

The fire was extinguished quickly and at this time the fire is deemed suspicious as there was no electricity in the structure.
