Cobourg Collegiate Institute Set to Compete at OFSAA Boys Hockey Tournament in Lasalle-Windsor

After recently winning the Central Ontario championship, the Cobourg Collegiate Institute Wolves are one of 16 teams now vying for the provincial ‘AAA’ high school boys title.

The Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) tournament gets underway Tuesday and continues through Thursday in Lasalle-Windsor.

CCI is ranked 14th out of the 16 participating teams and are matched up first against the top-seeded Brooklin Bears from Whitby at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The second game of the opening day for the Wolves will be at 12:15 p.m. against the No. 7 Neil McNeil Maroons from Toronto.

On Wednesday, CCI will conclude round-robin pool play at 8 a.m. against the No.12 Lo-Ellen Park Knights from Sudbury.

The top two teams in each pool will advance to the quarterfinals Wednesday afternoon.

Thursday’s schedule will feature the semifinals followed by the bronze and gold medal games.

Team members of the CCI Wolves, as listed on the OFSAA website, are Sam Clarke, Jack Beebe, Ethan McGregor, Ben Duncan, Cam Stevens, Ryan Blake, Spencer Harold, Lawson Minifie, Seth Sparks, Cohen Stewart, Oliver McCullough, Henry Fisher, Simon Fisher, Ewan Dahle, Troy Patton, Oliver Coyle, Brayden Davidson, Trent Clow and goaltenders Cooper McCarthy and Ethan Fuller.
