Port Hope- Green Wood Coalition is pleased to announce the return of Whole & Well, a community-based wellness program offering a supportive space for grounding, movement, and self-discovery.

Whole & Well brings together gentle yoga, breathwork, mindful movement, and Red Path teachings to support balance, self-compassion, and confidence. Sessions encourage participants to find strength with ease, quiet the mind, and build awareness that carries both on and off the mat. Time for connection is woven into each gathering with tea, coffee, and snacks, reinforcing wellness as both personal and relational.

“We’re proud to support Green Wood Coalition’s Whole & Well: A Centred Path program through our Haven for All funding, under our Learn strategy, because strengthening mental health is essential to building a community where everyone belongs,” says Alicia Vandine, Executive Director, United Way Northumberland.

“Delivered by a trained Red Path facilitator, this investment reflects our commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces where people can develop the skills, confidence, and emotional wellbeing they need to move forward and thrive.”

Thanks to the generous funding from Northumberland United Way, Whole & Well is offered free of charge and takes place Mondays from 1:00-2:30pm at 131 Walton Street. Whole & Well has been made possible through Northumberland United Way’s belief in the vision and impact of the program, allowing Green Wood Coalition to remove barriers to participation.

“We are deeply grateful to Northumberland United Way for believing in this project and investing in the health and well-being of our community,” Kim Jaye shares. “Their support affirms the importance of preventative, relationship-based programs that strengthen individuals and the community as a whole.”

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Ryan Huffman Foundation for their generous support of the Whole & Well pilot program. Their belief in the importance of mental health and movement made the pilot program possible, helping to establish a welcoming space for healing, connection, and well-being in our community. We would like to extend our gratitude to NHH CMHS for some program partnership.

Whole & Well reflects our ongoing commitment to building a compassionate, inclusive community where everyone feels valued and supported. Rooted in empowerment, connection, and dignity, Green Wood works alongside individuals, families, and local partners to reduce isolation, strengthen mental well-being, and ensure no one is left behind. Through collaboration and care, we continue to create spaces where people can grow, belong, and thrive together.
