Lower Trent Conservation is pleased to announce the appointment of our new Board leadership: Sherri
Hamilton of Cramahe as Chair, and Jeff Wheeldon of Brighton as Vice-Chair.
Both Sherri and Jeff joined the Lower Trent Conservation Board in 2023 and have quickly become
valued voices of our work. Their strong advocacy, decision-making, and support for staff and programs
has made an impact on our organization, as well as, across the watershed.
The Chair was selected through a Board election process, while the Vice-Chair was acclaimed
reflecting the trust and respect their fellow Board members have in their abilities.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our outgoing Chair, Gene Brahaney, who has
served on the Board since 2019 and as Chair for the past two. Gene’s leadership has been marked by his
deep respect for Conservation Authorities, staff, and the important environmental work that LTC does.
His dedication and efforts are evident throughout his time as chair and has helped strengthen Lower
Trent Conservation for the future. We are sincerely grateful for his commitment and service.
We value all our Board members and the dedication and years of experience they bring to the table
as we move through an important period of transition.
