Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services were dispatched to the area of County Road 28, just north of Oughs Road (north of Dale Road) for reports of a house fire at 3 a.m.

Initial reports indicated the back of the home was on fire. When fire crews arrived a short time later, the entire home was engulfed in flames.
