Video – Fresh Blanket of Snow Covers the Area – Again

In Local, Weather

It’s so beautiful after a fresh blanket of snow covers the area.

On Monday, January 6, 2026 a blanket of snow covered Port Hope and area including the area around the Ganaraska River.

A short distance away, plows were busy clearing streets once again.

Students in the area got an unscheduled holiday. Even though it was their first day back to school, Mother Nature had a different view.

Tuesday’s weather may not be much better with freezing rain possibly in the forecast.
