
The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating multiple break and enter incidents in Roseneath, along with the theft of a vehicle.
On October 19, 2025, police received a report of a break and enter at an address on County Road 18 where an attempt to steal a vehicle was made. The incident was believed to have occurred after 7:30 p.m. the previous evening. A local Scenes of Crime Officer attended to assist with the investigation.
On October 19, 2025, at around 7:00 p.m., OPP responded to an incident of a break an enter at a residence on County Road 45 where the complainant advised that food items had recently been taken from the dwelling.
On October 19, 2025, at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers received a call where the complainant advised a building on their property on County Road 45, had been broken into and a number of items had been taken. The caller believed that individua ls may be elsewhere on the property. The Emergency Response Team (ERT) attended to assist with a search of the area and utilized a Remotely Piloted Aerial System (DRONE) in efforts to locate persons in relation to the incident.
On October 20, 2025, shortly after 9:00 a.m., police responded a report of a break an enter which was believed to have occurred over the previous two days at a business on County Road 18. A number of items of clothing had been taken a local SOCO attended the location to assist with the investigation.
On October 20, 2025, OPP received a report that a pickup truck had been taken from an address on 2nd Line Road and is believed to have been stolen between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. that morning. Lines of inquiry have led to two individuals who attended a local gas station in the vehicle before leaving the area.
Northumberland OPP are following avenues of investigation and are being assisted by the Community Street Crime Unit (CS CU). Officers are looking to identify a male and a female in connection to the incidents and are releasing images of the individuals.
