Itinerant Vendor Licence Required for Door-to-Door Sales in the Town of Cobourg

In Local

The Town of Cobourg Legislative Services Division would like to remind residents of the Itinerant Vendor Bylaw (005-2015).

An Itinerant Vendor Licence is required to sell goods or services door-to-door. This includes displaying samples of goods to be delivered at a later date, or if you are doing business at a place in Town other than your permanent place of business.

If residents believe a vendor is selling goods or services door-to-door without a licence, you may:

• Ask vendors to show their issued Itinerant Vendor Licence

• Contact Municipal Law Enforcement with the company name and contact details to report unlicensed activity: 905-372-8380

Please note, there are currently no Itinerant Vendor Licences issued in the Town of Cobourg. Learn more and find Bylaw details at https://www.cobourg.ca/businessdevelopment/business-licences-and-permits/itinerant-vendors-licences/.
