Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Facing Sexual Assault Charges (No Name Released)

A Cobourg man is facing sexual assault charges after a police investigation.

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, the Cobourg Police Service Criminal Investigations Bureau began an investigation into allegations of sexual offences. As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and is facing the following charges:

Sexual Assault: Contrary to Section 271 of the Criminal Code of Canada

Sexual Interference: Contrary to Section 151 of the Criminal Code of Canada

Invitation to Sexual Touching: Contrary to Section 152 of the Criminal Code of Canada

Make Sexually Explicit Material available to a person under 14 years of age: Contrary to Section 171.1(1)(c) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was held for a bail hearing. The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
