Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Numerous Firearm Offences (No Name Released)

On September 5, 2025, uniform officers received information about the presence of unregistered firearms in a residence in Cobourg. The victim reported that the resident had shot at them some months ago. The Cobourg Police Service Criminal Investigation Bureau commenced an investigation and later that evening executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a residence on Campbell Street in the Town of Cobourg. Officers located two long guns during the search. The suspect was not present at the location at the time of the search.

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, a 41-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with the following offences:

Discharge Firearm with Intent Careless Use of Firearm,

Pointing a Firearm,

Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose,

two counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm,

two counts of Unauthorized possession of Firearm

and two counts of Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm.

The accused was held for a bail hearing. His identity is being withheld to protect the identity of the witnesses.
