Belleville Police Service – Incidents Include Assault, Break and Enter

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 299 calls for service beginning at 5:00 am on August 8, 2025 to 5:00 am on August 11, 2025.

Assault
On August 9th at approximately 9:30am, Belleville Police attended an apartment complex in the city’s west end regarding a reported assault. Upon arrival, officers learned that a resident was struck by another male resident, following a verbal altercation. As a result of the investigation, a 56-year-old Belleville man was located, arrested and charged with assault. He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in October.

Break and Enter
On August 9th at 9:08am, Belleville Police responded to a call in the city’s east end regarding a reported break and enter. Upon arrival, officers learned that an unknown suspect broke into the business overnight and stole money from a cash register. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Break and Enter
On August 10th at approximately 5:45am, Belleville Police responded to a call in the city’s north end regarding a reported break and enter. Officers attended and observed CCTV footage of an unknown male entering the business before being deterred by the alarm. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
