Video – Happy Ending After Two Youths Reported Missing at Victoria Beach in Cobourg

It was a search from land, sea and air after two youths were reported missing along Victoria Beach in Cobourg on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

Shortly after 3 p.m. a brother and sister aged 11-years-old and 14-year-old were reported missing along the shoreline.

With thousands of people at the beach, emergency services joined forces in searching for the youths.

Members of the Cobourg Police including officers, special constables and auxiliary officers along with Municipal By-Law, security and members of the Canadian Coast Guard searched the shoreline for the two youths.

Cobourg Police used a drone to search the area, while the Coast Guard searched the shoreline of Lake Ontario.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. Special Constables with the Cobourg Police spotted the two siblings at the east end of the beach.
