City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service – Lindsay Man Charged with Possession of Weapon, Uttering Threats

On July 25th 2025 just before 11:00am police attended a Beach Road address in Lindsay, ON at the request of an outside police agency to speak with the male occupant.

Upon arrival, the male located outside of the residence. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol and asked officers on scene to shoot him. The male armed himself with a long bow and shot an arrow near where officers were engaging with him. Before the male could access another arrow, officers deployed a conducted energy weapon to safely disarm the male and took him into custody without further incident.

A 52-year-old male was charged with:

· Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Person

· Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm

He was released with a future court date.
