Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Theft and Fail to Comply (No Name Released)

A 56-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after responding to a report of theft at a local business.

On July 21, 2025, police responded to a report of a theft at a business in the area of Albert Street and Third Street in Cobourg. The business was able to provide police with CCTV footage, and police were able to identify the suspect.

The individual was located and arrested without incident. As a result of the investigation, a 56-year-old Cobourg man was charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failure to comply with probation. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
