Cobourg Police – Two Cobourg Residents Facing Charges After Robbery

Two Cobourg residents are facing charges after police responded to a report of a robbery.

On July 15, 2025, police responded to a report of a street-level robbery in the area of Swayne Street and McGill Street in Cobourg.  The victim reported having been assaulted by an individual, during which time a second person had taken money from her.  The suspects were known to the victim, who was able to provide police with their identities.

One suspect was located and, after a brief foot pursuit, was arrested.  The second suspect was located later that evening and arrested without incident.

As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old Cobourg youth was charged with robbery and Maria Raycraft (34) of Cobourg was charged with robbery, theft under $5,000, and two counts of fail to comply with probation. Both accused were held for bail.
