Northumberland OPP – Prohibited Driver Charged with Speeding (Name Released)

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with prohibited driving following traffic enforcement.

On July 8, 2025, shortly before 11:00 a.m., police were conducting speed enforcement on County Road 45 in the Municipality of Trent Hills when they observed a passenger vehicle travelling at 124 Km/h in a posted 80 Km/h limit.

The vehicle was stopped and through enquiries, the driver was also found to be suspended from driving.

As a result, Andrew STARR (59) from Roseneath, has been charged with:

– Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code

– Driving while under suspension

– Drive motor vehicle – no licence

– Speeding

– Fail to have insurance card

In addition to a future court date, the accused had their vehicle impounded for 45 days.
