Belleville Police – Tips from Public Leads to Arrest of Break and Enter Suspect (Name Released)

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 126 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on July 8, 2025 to 5:00 am on July 9, 2025.

Update – Break and Enter, Theft, Failure to Stop for Police
On July 6th, Belleville Police initiated an investigation regarding a break and enter at a business on South Church St. Through further investigation, and with assistance from the public, the male suspect was identified. As a result, Brandon Sagriff, 22-year-old Bath resident, was located, arrested and charged with:
· Break and enter
· Two counts of theft over $5000
· Theft under $5000
· Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
· Flight from peace officer
· Dangerous operation

He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in August.

Break and Enter, Theft, Failure to Stop for Police – Image Released
On July 6th at 6:52am, Belleville Police responded to a report of a break and enter at a business on South Church St. Upon arrival, officers learned that between 3:00am and 6:00am, an unknown person smashed the front window and stole two motorcycles: a black Kawasaki and a silver Kawasaki. Officers in the area located one of the motorcycles and attempted to stop it without success.

Later in the morning, Belleville Police responded to a report of theft of gas at a North Front St. gas station that happened at approximately 5:45am. The suspect was operating a silver motorcycle with no license plate. This motorcycle was observed driving east bound on Old Hwy 2 at Point Anne on CCTV at 10:37am.
A male suspect is wanted by police for: break and enter, theft over $5000, dangerous driving, and failure to stop for police. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cst. Huppee at 613-966-0882 X 4247 or ghuppee@Bellevilleps.ca.
