City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Investigation Underway After Attempted Robbery in Kinmount

Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an attempted robbery in Kinmount.

On June 30, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers responded to a business on County Road 121 for reports of an attempted robbery. The suspects fled the scene before police arrived.

Preliminary investigation reveals that three males attempted to gain access to the business. The suspects are described as:

1st Suspect:
Wore construction orange pants and jacket, with a black hoodie underneath.
Black ski mask covering the face, gloves on.
White sneakers with black stripes.
Approximately 6ft tall.

2nd Suspect:
Same construction outfit with black hoodie underneath.
Black ski mask and black sneakers.
Believed to be a white individual.

3rd Suspect:
Grey pants, black sweater with a pink design on the chest, and a small crown on the hoodie.
Construction vest over the sweater, black ski mask with white writing on the side.
Black gloves.

No injuries were reported, and nothing was stolen. The suspects left the scene in a blue Honda Civic.
