Officers attended and found a cyclist had been struck while attempting to make a U-turn in the roadway. A pickup truck travelling the same direction was unable to stop when the cyclist attempted to turn in front of them.

The cyclist, an 84-year-old from Lakefield was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted by ORNGE Air to a Toronto area trauma centre.
